Dear Texas/Woodcreek friends.....

You received my update yesterday stating that Tom is so much stronger than he had been. That is still true. But during the night last night he kept dreaming he was suffocating and this morning could barely swallow.

The tumor in his throat (for which he is getting radiation) is evidently swollen and invading his esophogus and trachia. This pressure causes him to choke on almost every bit of food or liquid.

But it also causes him to have panic attacks due to the breathing. We had planned to be at church this morning, but he was much too fragile emotionally so I gave him anti anxiety and pain meds and he slept soundly all morning.

He has spent most of the day trying to get food to go down. I was prepared to rush him to the ER, but it didn't get that far.

We are asking you to pray especially for the feelings of panic. We know the Lord can relieve this attack on his mind.
